By John Schroeder, Founder & CEO of Geosolv

Geosolv began with a simple goal: to help engineers, field crews, drafters, and coordinators get their jobs done better. For them, that means fewer surprises, less friction, and more confidence that designs reflect the real world.
Being named as one of Broadband Communities’ Top 100 Companies of 2025 tells us that the industry is recognizing that our approach matters. Others are seeing what we’ve known from the start: Geosolv is making moves that make broadband engineering a little clearer, a little faster, and a lot more grounded in reality.
Behind The Scenes
Geosolv started with finding a solution to a problem that we experienced and that we knew others in the industry were fighting against as well. Project after project, we found that no matter how strong a plan is, if it doesn’t align with what’s actually happening in the field, it’s set up to fall into rework, delays, and added costs.
So, we found a solution. Geosolv connects what’s captured on the ground to what’s engineered on the screen.
Our process focuses on the controllables:
Capture Practice: How data is collected, validated, and organized before it even touches a design.
Data Creation: Ensuring that every dataset we deliver is structured, usable, and ready for seamless integration.
Design Rules: Applying consistent, scalable logic to how designs are built so that outcomes stay predictable.
Design QC: Reviewing every project with attention to accuracy, completeness, and constructibility.
That’s what sets Geosolv apart; it’s the foundation of our work.
The Value of Accurate Field Data in 2025
As the broadband design industry continues to adopt more predictive modeling practices, it’s easy to believe that the benefits of automation and AI make field validation less critical. Accurate field data remains the anchor of the industry, though. It moves data from an algorithm to real-world results.
In 2025, field data matters more because
Infrastructure continues to get denser. Shared poles, conduits, and routes require accuracy to avoid conflicts.
Clients expect proof. Broadband owners want designs that are supported by real spatial evidence, not just assumptions.
AI is only as good as its input. Better data is the fuel for smarter automation and cleaner, quicker results.
That’s why field data is treated as a discipline at Geosolv. We prioritize getting the real-world view right first to save our clients time, money, and frustration down the line.
In broadband deployment, there tends to be a focus on “the last mile” and “fiber-to-the-home". And yes, we know that these things matter. What drives us, though, is the process that gets us there. Improving how designs are captured, created, and reviewed means that networks get built faster and perform better.
What we know, and what our partners have learned, is that it’s the space between concept and construction where details make all the difference. That space is where Geosolv thrives.
Always Adapting, Always Improving
One of our core beliefs is that what we do today will be outdated a year from now. This mindset informs everything we do. We believe a company is defined by its adaptability. Geosolv uses technology, process discipline, and collaboration to outperform traditional models. We’re always combining tools in new ways and finding smarter paths forward.
We know that innovation can be an industry buzzword, but it’s also the foundation of relevance. For us, innovation means constant improvement to our capture practices, continued refinement in data creation, and raising the standard for design quality. These things are proof of innovation, not just the idea of it. When you’re choosing a partner, this proof makes all the difference.
Geosolv is proud to be recognized among the Top 100. This recognition isn’t just a pat on the back for our company; it’s a sign that the broadband industry is seeing the value of a higher standard. Our goal is to continue raising the standard for processexcellence and engineering innovation. Our goal is to change the industry’s expectations.
The Team That Made It Happen
Recognition like this doesn't come from one project or one person. It is a compilation of hundreds of small, deliberate decisions. I’m proud of our team’s discipline, curiosity, and drive to continue refining the process.
To the engineers, drafters, GIS specialists, and project leads of Geosolv: The recognition is all yours. You have stood behind the values of our company and proven that a strong capture practice, sound data, and consistent design logic can outperform any shortcut.
What’s Next
Being featured in Broadband Communities’ Top 100 List is hardly a finish line. Rather, it’s a checkpoint. It reminds us that our best work is ahead of us. As the industry continues to evolve, our focus will remain: Capture. Create. Design. Verify. That’s how we build confidence—one project at a time.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey so far. Here’s to what we build next.
